Vegetables as a useful part of the raw feeding

If you feed your dog raw, the contents of his meals should be as close as possible to the diet in the wild. When a wolf killes his prey, it is almost completely eaten. This means that the pre-digested stomach content of the prey is eaten during natural food intake. Since the killed animals mostly are herbivores, the stomachs mainly contain fruit, vegetables and herbs. These serve as valuable suppliers for minerals and vitamins.

The right food for your dog

Not all vegetable and fruit varieties are tolerated by dogs, so it is important to ensure an adequate selection. You are on the safe side with a special finished feed which contains individual varieties or mixtures. You just have to decide which type of preservation is appropriate for you and your dog. Of course the individual taste of your dog plays an important role.

Varieties of vegetables

Typically, the vegetable food is available in the following versions: as dried flakes, frozen or canned. For all forms, the fruit and vegetables are prepared in such a way that the cellulose of the plant cell walls is already opened. Only in this way and through the addition of cold-pressed oil can the dog absorb the valuable minerals and vitamins easily.

Gentle introduction of vegetable raw feed

Add new varieties of vegetables and fruits always individually to the food. This allows you to see exactly which varieties your dog tastes and is easy to digest. In the case of animal feed, the plant share should be on average about 20 - 30%. A varied and balanced diet is ideal.
